Production Worker

Tenaris Manufacturing jobs is seeking a Production Worker in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. This role is part of the Industrial Operations department and reports to the production environment. The position contributes to shaping the future of energy through advanced tubular products and services. The role pays starting wage of $23.17 per hour and requires successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol tests and a fit test due to safety-sensitive responsibilities.

Overview

A Production Worker supports shipping, pipe movements and the operation of production machinery in a safe and efficient manner, following applicable procedures and quality standards. The role is part of a diverse team that values results, analytical problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties effectively to meet productivity and efficiency standards.
• Perform activities according to applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Complete and maintain necessary records with accurate information.
• Ensure proper use of company assets, detect and report malfunctions.
• Attend and participate in training to maintain and increase knowledge; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Operate forklifts, front loaders and shunt trucks within the yard to move, organize and stage materials for production, inventory and shipping.
• Follow all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures; maintain a clean, safe, respectful and orderly work environment.
• Be able to respond and work extra hours when required; participate in meetings (H&S, communications, crew meetings).
• Report hazards and support corrective actions; abide by Tenaris policies.
• Depending on needs and placement, responsibilities may include supply chain yard operations, ERW pipe manufacturing support, inventory control, hot rolling mill assistance, heat treatment support, finishing, and quality inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass fit and drug testing, pre-employment medical and online assessments.
• Class G driver’s license or higher is an asset (AZ, DZ, etc.).
• Forklift license or driving experience is an asset.

Skills

• Able to work standing and walking for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
• Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs; comfortable with heights and stair climbing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to read, write and understand English work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team; maintain a positive attitude and build relationships.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
