About the Role
The Production Worker on the 2nd shift in Bachoco USA's Slaughter Plant (Dept. 105) supports the daily production of high-quality foods by performing essential line tasks and maintaining a safe, sanitary work area. This safety-sensitive role requires standing, walking, and lifting, and offers opportunities for growth through structured mentoring and pay progression.
What You'll Do
- Set up and tear down workstation and production line as required
- Sort and grade product; inspect quality per standards
- Build boxes, bag finished product, and pack bagged product into boxes; tape boxes; label as applicable to customer specifications
- Scale boxed product to required weight and ensure correct labeling
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area; follow safety policies
- Stand for extended periods; walk and reach with hands/arms; regularly lift/move up to 25-40 pounds
- Work in wet and/or humid conditions; with moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme cold; wear appropriate safety gear; environment is usually loud
- This is a 2nd shift position with hours 4:50 pm - EOS
What We're Looking For
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands/arms for extended periods; lift/move up to 25-40 pounds
- Willingness to work on 2nd shift in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive production environment
- Ability to follow defined production steps: setup, packaging, labeling to customer specifications
- Comfortable working in wet/humid conditions, extreme cold, loud environments; exposure to moving parts, fumes, and airborne particles
- Strong safety awareness, quality focus, and teamwork
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $16.25 per hour
- Night shift premium: $1/hour (Only for 2nd & 3rd Shift Positions)
- Attendance incentive: $1/hour weekly
- Pay increases at 30 and 90 days
