About this role
Production Validation Architect (Lead)
As a Production Validation Architect (Lead), you will:
- Lead Blue-Green and production validation assessments across complex, interconnected applications.
- Evaluate hosting, parallel deployments, test-user routing, database compatibility, integrations, cutover, and rollback.
- Conduct workshops with application teams, vendors, and partners to assess application readiness and identify technical constraints.
- Define reference architecture, release orchestration, testing workflows, implementation roadmap, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Guide engineering teams as the architecture design authority throughout implementation.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 12+ years of experience in software delivery, including at least 5 years as a Solution, Platform, or Release Architect.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Blue-Green, Canary, or similar production release strategies.
- Strong knowledge of API gateways, load balancers, Kubernetes ingress, service mesh, header/cookie-based routing, and feature flags.
- Expertise in zero-downtime database migrations, backward-compatible schema changes, and shared databases.
- Experience with API integrations, message queues, event-driven architectures, file/batch interfaces, Kubernetes, VM-based infrastructure, and SaaS applications.
You should possess the ability to:
- Assess end-to-end customer journeys, application dependencies, production readiness, and integration risks.
- Design secure test-user routing and release workflows covering deployment, validation, approval, cutover, monitoring, and rollback.
- Classify applications as ready, adaptable, or unsuitable and recommend practical remediation options.
- Prepare architecture documentation, risk assessments, and roadmaps, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Communicate technical limitations and trade-offs clearly while guiding teams toward reliable implementation.
What We Bring to the Table:
- The opportunity to lead enterprise-scale production validation and release architecture initiatives.
- The ability to shape deployment standards, improve production reliability, and minimise release risks.
- Collaboration with senior stakeholders, application teams, vendors, and engineering partners throughout assessment and implementation.
