About the Role MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is hiring for Production Technician I for Final Assembly. This role is responsible for following predetermined procedures to assemble, modify and rework moderately complex products and/or sub-assemblies, perform component testing, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The position operates on the 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) Sunday through Friday with starting pay of $22.90/hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. What You'll Do
- Assemble and test moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies, including setup, following predetermined procedures and wiring/soldering requirements.
- Package instruments and pick materials from the warehouse.
- Visually inspect and perform minor repairs.
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and enter information into the computer system (SAP).
- Maintain production goals through productivity targets and cost containment, eliminating waste while adhering to safety and quality standards. What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 months electronics manufacturing or related experience.
- On-the-job proficiency expected after 6–9 months.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions, and test procedures; interpret standard units of measure.
- Ability to operate measuring devices and standard software including SAP.
- Lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; use power and hand tools and basic tooling.
- Fine finger/hand dexterity; steady hand.
- Strong communication and ability to work with various levels and train new associates; work independently with minimal supervision; organize and prioritize work; overtime as required.
- Experience with soldering is a plus. Nice to Have
- Past soldering experience. Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $22.90 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.
