About the Role Precision Castparts is seeking a Production Technician – High Temp Lay-Up to fabricate, assemble, and repair composite products for aerospace applications. This entry-level role supports fast-paced manufacturing, following Master Work Instructions to prepare parts for curing and bonding. The position is on-site in Covina, CA and operates on the 2nd shift.
What You'll Do
- Work on 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm, M-F) following safety rules and contributing to a safe work environment.
- Fabricate, assemble, rework, and repair products per Master Work Instructions using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
- Read work orders and documentation to determine methods, sequence, and specifications; lay out cutting lines on plastic materials (sheet stock, fiberglass/graphite cloth).
- Cut material to size; mix resins, catalysts, fillers, accelerators, and colors; set up and operate forming machines/laminating equipment.
- Laminate cloth and resins onto layup molds or bonding fixtures; apply vacuum bagging materials and attach fittings; prepare lamination for curing or bonding.
- Verify dimensions with precision instruments (dial indicators, micrometers, calipers).
- Maintain focus on safety and quality to meet production goals.
What We're Looking For
- Entry-level position; no prior work experience required (though prior manufacturing experience is a plus).
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs; good hand dexterity; ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Shop Math: basic math calculations; ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Must be a US Person.

- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
