Job title: Production Technician
About the Role Operate and maintain systems at a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facility while demonstrating safety awareness and adherence to procedures to continuously improve performance. This role emphasizes collaboration with employees and contractors, and development through a multi-skill progression toward operator qualifications.
What You'll Do
- Foster the importance of a safety-oriented culture and maintain regulatory compliance, proactively coordinating with agencies to avoid reportable violations.
- Participate in the multi-year Production Technician multi-skill progression plan to develop key maintenance and operations skills; pursue board operator qualification upon completion.
- Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings; administer Contractor Safety Orientations as needed.
- Apply knowledge of plant systems including burner controls, turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, regulating devices, and troubleshooting.
- Perform operational duties: operate the control board, make rounds, execute PM/PDM activities, monitor HRSG water chemistry, and calibrate/monitor CEMS.
- Inspect, calibrate, install, repair, diagnose, test and troubleshoot complex instrumentation and regulating devices in a CCGT facility, both individually and as part of a team.
- Perform mechanical work involving inspection, repair and installation of instrumentation and electrical equipment, and light preventive maintenance of mechanical systems.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-year associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/Controls or Production/Process Technology with 0-2 years of experience in a CCGT facility in Operations or Maintenance, or 2 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience.
- Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position.
- Successful completion of the EEI POSS/MASS.
- This is a Safety Sensitive position and requires mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
