About the Role Join Entergy Mississippi as a Production Technician (CRO) responsible for operating and maintaining systems at a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facility, with a focus on safety and continuous performance improvement. The role may be filled as Production Technician III, II, I, or CRO based on qualifications and experience, and is onsite in Mississippi. What You'll Do
- Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies to avoid reportable violations.
- Participate in the multi-year Production Technician multi-skill progression plan to develop key skills in maintenance and operations, with the goal of meeting board operator qualifications.
- Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings; oversee Contractor Safety and conduct Contractor Safety Orientations as needed.
- Apply understanding of plant systems, burner controls, turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, regulating devices, PM, troubleshooting, etc.
- Operate the control board, perform operational rounds, PM/PDM activities, HRSG water chemistry, CEMS monitoring and calibrations.
- Inspect, calibrate, install, repair, diagnose, test and troubleshoot complex instrumentation and regulating devices in a CCGT facility, solo or as part of a team.
- Perform mechanical work on instrumentation and electrical equipment, and light PM of mechanical systems. What We're Looking For
- High School graduate.
- P-Tech III: 0-2 years of experience in a CCGT facility in an Operations or Maintenance position, and a 2-Year associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/Controls or Production/Process Technology or equivalent work experience; or 4 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience.
- PTECH II – I: 2-5 years of experience in a CCGT facility in an Operations or Maintenance position, and a 2-Year associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/Controls or Production/Process Technology or equivalent work experience; or 5 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience.
- P-Tech CRO: 5+ years of experience in a CCGT facility in an Operations or Maintenance position; training in power plant operations, power plant systems and power plant performance or corresponding technical degree from an accredited school; control room operational experience in drum t
