About the Role The Production Technician is part of a production crew responsible for operating, adjusting, and inspecting high-speed production equipment to meet plant goals. The role follows 5S standards and SOPs and requires safety compliance and a rotating swing schedule (12.25-hour days, 3 days on/3 days off, with days-to-nights every nine weeks). What You'll Do
- Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.
- Operate, adjust, and repair high-speed production equipment to meet plant production goals.
- Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
- Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 1-year minimum experience in a mechanical job-related field with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools. Nice to Have
- 2 years’ work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Compensation & Benefits
- Starting hourly rate: 32.40 USD per hour (salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
- Daily OT after 8 hours; quarterly gainshare bonus.
- Benefits start day one.
- Onsite work environment: This position is based in Ft. Atkinson, WI and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
