About the Role Join Weir as a Production Team Member in Valve Assembly. This onsite role supports valve production through machine setup, assembly, and quality checks, contributing to efficient manufacturing and a safe work environment. What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and maintain molding machines used in valve production, ensuring configurations meet specifications for precise manufacturing.
- Assemble valves and related components, cut shafts, paint, set stroke, and rebuild cylinders while adhering to quality standards and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to guide assembly and machine setup processes accurately.
- Monitor machine operations continuously to ensure proper functioning, promptly identifying and resolving production issues.
- Engage daily in hands-on valve assembly tasks, machine operation, and quality checks to meet production goals efficiently. What We're Looking For
- Safe operation of all tools and equipment used in valve assembly and machine operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment.
- Experience or ability to handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Strong team orientation and ability to comply with scheduled hours and company policies. Nice to Have
- Prior experience in materials handling or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and technical diagrams.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform repetitive physical tasks.
