About the Role Alfa Laval is seeking a Production Team Manager in Kunshan to lead the production team, drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost management, and act as the primary link between the factory and support functions. The role focuses on empowering people, improving productivity, and ensuring operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Manage Team Members and Team Leaders; set and follow up targets for the team and each employee, broken down from unit level.
- Own safety, quality, Q-system, on-time delivery, and cost; secure quality via SOP audits and execution of SOPs.
- Drive performance and improvement meetings; manage cost accounts; ensure continuous optimization of processes.
- Be a link between the factory and support functions for daily issues; control quality, deviations and line stops.
- Provide the team with relevant information; lead or support production-related claim handling; lead ALPS activities: TPM, 5S, PRP, SOP, Kaizen, etc.; perform audits according to ALPS.
- Secure production capacity according to workload; continuously improve productivity.
- Lead and develop people; empower your people to accomplish their mission; remove blockers and connect with other functions to create order out of chaos; provide equipment, resources, or clarity of purpose as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Result-driven leader who is present in the organization and can drive results through people; open, communicative, with high integrity.
- Financial/basic knowledge; products, manufacture and process knowledge.
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent; relevant leadership and management skills; at least 5 years of experience in production/manufacturing.
- Experience with improvement tools such as 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen; project work experience is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Certified GB is a plus.
- Project work experience (if not already listed).
