Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be an ambitious, diligent and enthusiastic individual who will join the team in supervising the production environment.
Our Team
You will join a manufacturing team focused on safely producing high-quality products, meeting customer requirements and continually improving operational performance. You will work closely with employees and colleagues across Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and other support functions.
What You Will Do
- Achieve production targets in relation to production schedules, quality standards, scrap and inventory levels.
- Manage production activities within agreed budget targets across injection moulding, automatic and semi-automatic production lines.
- Plan, prioritise and organise departmental projects, assigning resources to support their successful completion.
- Manage employee performance, including general conduct, attendance, absence management and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System, applicable ISO standards and approved procedures.
- Monitor and manage production scrap, ensuring accurate recording, investigation of losses and implementation of scrap reduction actions.
- Act as a key member of weekly scrap management projects, contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support customer complaint investigations and implement agreed corrective actions in conjunction with the Quality team.
- Ensure Quality Notifications (QNs) are raised promptly, accurately completed and progressed within agreed timelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, promoting safe working practices and promptly reporting and escalating hazards, incidents and near misses.
- Ensure effective weekend-to-weekday handovers, communicating production performance, staffing requirements and outstanding quality or equipment issues.
- Ensure employees are trained and competent in their assigned tasks, with accurate and up-to-date training records.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Educated to Degree or Diploma level in an engineering discipline or appropriate qualification.
- Ability to manage and embrace change
- Good people management skills
- Experienced in SAP and the full suite of Microsoft Office.

- Experience in a supervisory role with a proven track record in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
