Production Supervisor

About the Role Volt is hiring a Production Supervisor in Carson, CA to oversee manufacturing operations, lead a production team, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This 6-month contract role focuses on aligning production activities with schedule, policies, and company objectives. What You'll Do

• Oversee manufacturing operations and assembly processes; supervise and develop assigned personnel; plan and adjust production according to schedule.
• Promote safety and a culture of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and adherence to quality standards; monitor production quality and completion of functions.
• Develop and implement production department planning, policies, and procedures; maintain effective communication with management and cross-functional teams.
• Lead with goal setting, delegation, and coaching; conduct performance appraisals and, when needed, employee corrective actions; participate in hiring and other personnel decisions.
• Coordinate with purchasing and engineering to maintain schedules and implement procedural changes; monitor floor workflow to maximize capacity; ensure work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Stay informed of new production techniques; perform production duties as needed and complete special projects. What We're Looking For
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (+2 years) and strong understanding of production procedures, standards, and quality control systems.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience, plus 2 years in a leadership role; proficient with MS Word, Excel, email, and ERP systems.
• Highly organized with solid planning/time-management skills; quality minded; strong problem solving; capable of leading teams, conducting meetings, giving direction, and coaching.
• Fluent English communication. Nice to Have
• Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years manufacturing experience; 3+ years leadership experience. Compensation & Benefits
• Pay range: $35.00-$38.00 per hour DOE.
