Production Supervisor

About the Role The Production Supervisor will oversee cylinder gas production operations at the South Bend facility, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations to meet customer demand. This role includes leading scheduling, training, incident investigations, and coordinating with customers and internal teams to maintain high standards of performance and security. What You'll Do

• Schedule and coordinate cylinder gas production to meet customer demand, maintain adequate stock levels, and monitor raw material deliveries.
• Manage day-to-day employee activities, supervise personnel, provide training, support career development, and conduct thorough accident/incident investigations with accurate reporting.
• Drive productivity initiatives to maximize plant capabilities and improve overall operational efficiency; monitor proper asset usage.
• Support the efficient distribution of products and maintain professional interactions with internal and external customers.
• Respond to emergency calls, conduct monthly safety meetings, assist with SOP implementation, and uphold the proper usage and security of plant assets. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor of science preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, or 1-2 years of cylinder processor-lead experience preferred.
• Production or distribution experience required; industrial gas industry or equivalent experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of cylinder gases and processes of each.
• Familiarity with regulatory agencies including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes and CU.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Nice to Have
