Job title: Production Supervisor

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Production Supervisor at our corrugated facility in Martinsville, VA. The Production Supervisor will support the Corrugator team on the 2nd shift, leveraging leadership, operational experience, and strong communication skills to identify and implement improvements across people, processes, and systems within a union environment. This position will support the 2nd shift, operating Monday - Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm with occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What You'll Do

• Lead an operating team in compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality.
• Foster a culture based on our Principled Based Management (PBM) Philosophy; Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability; investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes.
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
• Ensure best practices are followed for minimization of waste at machine centers.
• Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production.
• Plan, assign and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance; provide feedback; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable; communicate issues and results daily.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supervising or leading employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial OR military environment.
• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience supervising corrugator/converting or packaging production operations.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Software including updating and creating spreadsheets, Word document creation/editing.
• Experience using KIWI system.
• Experience in a union environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
