Job title: Production Supervisor
Directs and supervises a team of operations/maintenance personnel in a cross-functional multi-craft, multi-skilled plant environment at a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant. The position's primary responsibility is plant operations and responsiveness to start-up and dispatch requests, as well as assigning and directing operations/maintenance work on shift.
Ensure safe work practices that comply with OSHA and Entergy Safety Processes. Provide compliance oversight relating to NERC and Environmental requirements. Provide direct supervision to hourly multi-craft employees during a rotating 12-hour shift. Ensure that all dispatch directives are met within operational guidelines during 12-hour rotating shift. Ensure all required maintenance is performed according to assigned shift schedule. Provide and support budget/project development and cost control. Provide contract management/contractor oversight.
In-depth knowledge of power plant systems and unit operating practices; Operating Technician proficiency. Knowledge of unit cycle chemistry, its requirements, and corrective actions. Minimum Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Minimum Experience: Three years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler Experience and demonstrated supervisory leadership qualities. Desired: 8-10 years of Plant Operations Experience, 3-5 years of this period as a control board operator. Ability to supervise on a rotating 12-hour shift and manage a cross-functional hourly workforce. Familiarity with OSHA safety processes; NERC compliance experience; budget and contractor oversight.
