Job title: Production Supervisor - Dispersions Plant
About the Role The role is responsible for technical, quality and cost-efficient manufacturing of dispersions, with a focus on plant safety, health and the environment. It involves shift-based production coordination, process improvement, and guiding a team to deliver product quality that meets international standards.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage production in shift with consistent quality as per the target.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce batch cycle times, increase yields, improve operating ease and reduce production costs.
- Guide a group of Officers/Operators to ensure product quality of international standard.
- Implement and maintain Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) systems for the plant; ensure PPE usage and work permit compliance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001; maintain documentation of Responsible Care.
- Act as incident/emergency controller during emergencies in shifts after office hours; train personnel on SHE/MSDS and safety aspects related to raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain proper plant cleanliness (5S) and discipline, and promote BASF’s safe work culture; manage handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure emissions discharge parameters are within statutory limits and health/hygiene of personnel is maintained.
- Serve as EHS representative on shifts and oversee training related to safety, MSDS, and responsible care.
- Ensure documentation and adherence to BASF practices and process safety/environmental protection codes.
