About the Role The Production Superintendent oversees the coordination of line production activities across Bachoco USA's plant operations, including start-up, set-up, daily supervision, quality and packaging compliance, and USDA-related concerns. This is a safety-sensitive, supervisory role with a Monday–Friday night shift (4:30 PM–3:30 AM). What You'll Do
- Oversees start-up and set-up.
- Coordinates all daily activities with supervisors.
- Ensures products are produced to quality and packaging standards and wholesomeness.
- Communicates with Quality, Maintenance, Second shift production and Sanitation.
- Addresses unfavorable variances and USDA concerns.
- Handles employee issues and HR-related matters.
- Schedules employees for company meetings (e.g., hearing tests, 401(k) sessions).
- Coordinates rework.
- Ensures all stakeholders are notified of schedule changes (production, maintenance, supply, QC).
- Maintains standards for every product.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages up to eight subordinate supervisors, directing and evaluating these units; interviews, hires, trains, plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines; handles employee relations and problem resolution. What We're Looking For
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports; speak effectively before groups.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of accounting software; payroll systems; spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Physical Demands: Regularly talk or hear; stand and walk; occasionally sit; use hands; reach; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste or smell; lift up to 75 pounds; close/distance/color/peripheral vision.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; occasional exposure to high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical risk; loud noise.
