Production Planner
Job Overview
This position is responsible for the planning and control of manufacturing scheduling activities for Healthmark’s Manufacturing, Production and Assembly Departments.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Complete daily execution of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) activities for both manufactured and purchased material.
- Plan production schedules to meet forecasted and sales demand while taking capacity and priority into consideration.
- Create and schedule manufacturing orders in the ERP system.
- Work closely with departments to actively manage their schedules and carry out the plans.
- Recognize production limitations/constraints and adjust plans accordingly.
- Monitor components, work in process (WIP) and finished goods inventories and take action as needed.
- Ensure optimal levels of components are delivered on- time.
- Establish and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and routing data within the ERP system.
- Analyze and act on status and performance metrics.
- Support enhancements to the production planning process.
- Participate on cross-functional teams with goals of safety improvement, quality enhancements, cost reductions, process improvements, etc.
