Production Planner
Main Functions and Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the development of the Production Schedule by balancing material inflows and outflows, receiving and analyzing Finished Goods demand, and prioritizing production according to S&OP requirements. Ensure operational stability based on the capacity of production and service areas, while monitoring production rate variations. Communicate production schedules to Operations, Warehousing, Supply Chain, and Distribution Centers (DCs).
- Ensure the availability of raw materials and production time on each plant resource according to system demand through short-, medium-, and long-term planning analysis, including the creation of Purchase Requisitions and supplier forecasts.
- Monitor and control production rate variations for each production line to maintain stable production performance and effectively manage operational constraints.
- Forecast production capacity by technology and work center for each Forecast or Budget cycle, considering production rates, CAPEX-related downtime, initiatives, and Time Efficiency.
- Update, upload, create, maintain, and monitor in SAP/APO the following: PPT, GPB, downtime records for each work center, production orders, Hit Rate reports, efficiency curves for each resource, outsourced production deliveries, subcontracting consumption for FEMPRO/promotional products, Product Process Models, ZFIN Material Master data, BOMs and alternatives, routings, production versions, and SAP production reports.
- Prepare reports on projected production volumes by area, paper consumption and production balances in the short, medium, and long term, CVP and CPP analyses, monthly format changes, rate variations, weekly production plan adjustments, available conversion capacities, projected ME% for each S&OP cycle, Forecast (IOP) and Budget exercises, and manufacturing orders classified as On Time, Closed, and Expired.
- Coordinate purchase and sales requirements for Mother Reel (MR), ensuring product quality in collaboration with the Technical and Production teams to guarantee optimal paper performance during conversion. Also manage costing for sales/purchase codes and coordinate MR logistics and transportation to customers.
- Execute the S&OP process by developing the demand planning structure and establishing information channels to maintain close communication. Review Production Planning KPIs, taking into account weekly, monthly, and quarterly volume fluctuations, while considering the capacity of conversion lines.
- Collaborate, comply with, and promote a strong safety culture among team members by adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy, focusing on accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through tools and campaigns implemented by Essity.
- Comply with all applicable safety guidelines, including Life-Saving Rules, while performing activities within the plant.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Report quality incidents within the assigned area or process.
- Promote a culture of Quality and Food/Product Safety among coworkers and team members.
