Job title: Production Operator
About the Role As a Production Operator at Solventum's Yamagata site (Higashine), you will participate in medical tape manufacturing and related processing, and operate production machinery. You will also contribute to process steps for medical products and engage in continuous improvement activities such as QC Circle, Lean, 5S, and KYK.
What You'll Do
- Perform manufacturing and processing tasks for medical tapes and related products, including machine operation
- Manage processing steps and machine operation across medical product lines
- Participate in QC Circle, Lean, 5S, KYK, and other improvement activities
- Communicate effectively within a team to carry out operations and improvements
- Work in a shift schedule including weekends and night shifts
What We're Looking For
- High school graduate or above; knowledge of machinery and chemistry
- Good health and physical fitness; able to work Saturdays/Sundays and rotating night shifts
- Ability to collaborate and communicate in a team for operations and improvement activities
- Legally eligible to work in Japan without visa sponsorship (as required by the posting)
- Knowledge of handling or familiarity with hazardous materials is a plus
Nice to Have
- Hazardous materials Type 4 (乙種第四類) or similar certification
