About the Role
The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations at the Manna Beverages & Ventures facility in Indianapolis.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate machinery, startup, adjust machine settings, changeovers, and cleaning of the case packer.
- Daily operation of the case packer, monitor production line, and perform visual quality checks for problems such as pileups, jams, or glue that isn’t sticking properly; tear down packages for quality checks.
- Perform machinery parts changeovers between different product runs; clean conveyors, pans and lubricate machinery as needed.
- Verify work orders; check adhesive/glue type and fill as required; check glue temperature setting; verify proper bottle code (startup, hourly, after changeover).
- Operate machinery using a touch screen computer; operate floor scrubber; maintain a clean work area.
- Notify Supervisor/Maintenance of material/quality issues or equipment issues; maintain a positive work environment and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
- Maintain compliance with GMPs, food safety, and safety requirements; work scheduled shifts, weekends, and extended hours as required; regular and punctual attendance.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED and three months related experience; ability to operate and troubleshoot case packers; perform visual quality checks; lift up to 50 lb; follow safety/GMP; and use plant computers; English required (Spanish a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret product descriptions and codes; basic math; strong problem solving and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
- Must be computer literate; able to work independently as well as in a team; attention to detail and accuracy; follow-up and initiative.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment; willingness to adapt to changing shifts and schedules.
Nice to Have
- Spanish language is a plus.
