Job Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Textile Engineer to join our production team in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing of synthetic yarn and synthetic hair products, ensuring consistent product quality, process efficiency, inventory control, and effective workforce management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in synthetic fibre processing and a strong understanding of production systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the end-to-end production process for synthetic yarn and synthetic hair manufacturing.
Monitor and control production parameters to ensure consistent product quality and process stability.
Optimize production efficiency by reducing waste, minimizing downtime, and improving productivity.
Implement and maintain process controls to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Manage raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventories to ensure accurate stock control and minimize losses.
Plan and allocate manpower efficiently to meet daily production schedules.
Lead, train, and motivate production operators and supervisors to improve performance and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2–8 years of relevant experience in textile, synthetic fibre, synthetic yarn, or synthetic hair manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of synthetic fibres, yarn manufacturing processes, and synthetic hair production.
Experience in process optimization, production planning, and manufacturing operations.
Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or above preferred).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems is desirable.
Required Skills

Hands-on leader with the ability to manage teams of production operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to operational requirements.
