About the Role The Production Manager, Publishing oversees the end-to-end production process for Paramount's fiction and nonfiction titles, ensuring on-time delivery, budgets, and quality standards across adult and children’s lists. This role partners with editorial, design and external vendors to manage workflows and maintain consistency across all published materials. What You'll Do
- Manage the full production lifecycle for publications from manuscript handoff through final print or digital release for a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles across both Paramount’s adult and children’s lists
- Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple concurrent projects
- Request and review quotes from vendors, prepare pricing estimates, and monitor production specs for adherence to budget
- Coordinate with editorial, design, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on timelines, specifications, and deliverables
- Liaise with external partners and vendors to obtain quotes; negotiate competitive pricing What We're Looking For
- Experience overseeing production processes from manuscript to final output (print and/or digital)
- Strong project management and scheduling skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Vendor management experience including requesting quotes, budgeting, and price negotiations
- Collaboration skills across editorial, design, sales, and marketing to align timelines and deliverables
- Familiarity with production workflows for fiction and nonfiction, across adult and children’s lists
