Production Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a Production Field Applications Engineer (FAE) based in Hsinchu, Taiwan to support semiconductor production test applications.

In this role, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to support production test requirements using the UltraFLEX and UltraFLEXplus platforms. The position will focus on production test application support, test program development, debugging, and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support customer production test applications on UltraFLEX and UltraFLEXplus platforms.
• Develop, debug, maintain, and optimize test programs using IG-XL.
• Support application development and troubleshooting using VBT and C#.
• Investigate production test issues and provide effective technical solutions.
• Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve test application and production issues.
• Support technical communication and collaboration in both English and Chinese.
• Be available for short-notice business travel based on customer and production support needs.
• Travel to other cities as required to provide onsite customer and production support.
• Support extended onsite assignments at OSAT facilities when required by business or customer needs.

All About You

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on knowledge of UltraFLEX and UltraFLEXplus platforms.
• Experience with IG-XL.
• Programming or application development experience with VBT and C#.
• Good understanding of Open/Short test principles and operation.
• Strong technical problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese.
• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice, travel to other cities, and support extended onsite assignments at OSAT facilities as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the 93K test platform.
• Knowledge or experience in silicon photonics.
• Knowledge or experience in optics or optical applications.
• Familiarity with ATE debugging and characterization tools and techniques, including Characterization, Pattern debugging, and Shmoo.
• Familiarity with test flow development, debugging, and optimization.
