About the Role

The Production Associate Level 1 safely operates and manages different machines and equipment used in Moldtech’s parts production process. This role supports efficient, quality-focused manufacturing within Newbury Franklin Industrials' industrial platform.

What You'll Do

  • Operate assigned machines and equipment (lathes, grinders, mills, presses, etc.) and manage production tasks.
  • Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measure completed parts using precision tools to ensure they meet functional, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintain logs and records of units produced, including a record of errors leading to rejects or discards.
  • Inspect equipment before use to ensure correct setup and alignment; perform basic routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Consistent process execution by following standard operating procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Basic troubleshooting ability to recognize mold or machine issues and know when to escalate.
  • Intermediate understanding of materials, especially different types of rubber and their curing properties.
  • Proficient with tools and equipment, including hand tools, presses, and basic measurement devices (calipers, gauges).
  • Effective communication to report issues to supervisors and collaborate with coworkers.
  • Ability to train or assist in orienting new hires on basic tasks and procedures.
  • Responsive to feedback and able to apply coaching constructively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing and repetitive tasks.
