Job title: Production Associate - Floating Utility
About the Role
The Production Associate - Floating Utility at International Paper supports manufacturing operations at the Crawfordsville, IN box facility. This full-time night-shift role involves following operator directions, reading work orders, and performing a variety of tasks to meet production needs while maintaining safe, clean work areas.
What You'll Do
- Reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements
- Identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders
- Performing assigned duties to ensure that production needs are met
- Assisting other associates as needed
- Accurately using tape measures and other measurements and test equipment
- Inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications
- Identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials
- Accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records
- Keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations
- Maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
- Floating utilities associates also follow the direction of the operator where they are assigned
- Maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervision
What We're Looking For
- Ability to read and follow customer work orders and related documents
- Ability to identify stock and products that match work orders
- Experience or capability in measuring with tape measures and other test equipment
- Willingness to assist other associates and work as part of a team
- Adaptability to rotate on a 24-7 schedule, with night shift differential
- Commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Good communication with supervisor and team members
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $22.67 per hour with $0.40 per hour night differential for nights
- Schedule: Full-time, 6:00pm-6:00am, 2on/2off/3on 24-7
