About the Role The Production Associate is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. This position reports to the Facilities and Equipment Manager and is located in Cortland, NY and is an on-site role. What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, power and control circuits, control panels, instrumentation, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, piping, and general welding; work from schematics, blueprints, layouts, and Bills of Materials to support manufacturing operations.
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance, recommending and implementing modifications or replacement strategies to improve reliability, safety, and performance; inspect systems and ensure safe operation of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and operational readiness, including machine fabrication, spare parts inventory management, and flexibility to work overtime, off-shifts, or attend external trade training as required. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent. Must be able to read blueprints, specifications, charts, tables, and/or adjustable measuring instruments and gauges requiring interpretation.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or training in electrical, pipe fitting, or one of the allied trades.
