About the Role GE HealthCare is seeking a Production Associate 1 for the 1st shift to perform limited electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and support production assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment. The team assembles routine units and follows defined methods for assembling cables, soldering, bonding, testing, standard troubleshooting, and manufacturing transducers for our real-time visualization and guidance platforms.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine tasks in Product Assembly, bonding, potting, mixing epoxy, installing covers and other plastic/metal components.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, or established operations practices to assemble and install various probe components.
• Perform solder touch-up or solder of parts as a secondary operation.
• Complete other duties as assigned and possibly to other areas: Wiring, Epoxy, Final Assembly/Lensing.
• Handle small, delicate parts with a high degree of accuracy to perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly.
• Follow method sheets to ensure documented and controlled processes are followed to assemble various electronic components.
• Perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations by using common hand tools such as wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and using small hand tools and soldering equipment.
• May operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly/production equipment.
• Organized, work independently, and ability to work in fast paced environments.
• Able to sit and work under a microscope for extended periods of time.
• Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope preferred.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time and complete tasks using a microscope.
