About the Role You will lead the development and maintenance of a customer-focused product platform for one ContiTech Product Group, coordinating with regional Product Management, Product Development, Application Engineering, Material Platform Development and Operations to align with the global Platform strategy. What You'll Do
- Create and maintain a customer-focused platform for one Product Group, consolidating materials and components to enable global cost savings and sustainability
- Collect Bill of Materials data and develop material and specification overview
- Develop strategic Product portfolio by defining strategic materials and specifications to cover product requirements in all markets
- Align Product Platform Strategy with Regional Product Management, Product Development, Application Engineering, Material Platform Development and Operations
- Implement activities driven by global strategy and local plant activities within a Product Platform and coordinate with regional teams
- Manage projects in the PLC D1 process landscape with effective communication to stakeholders
- Lead: Project, Design review, Gate review; Steer: Material Development, CAD, FEA, prototype production, product testing, Tech Centers, production concept, eCR for production/testing tooling/equipment (if needed), SCM concept, profitability checks (including purchased components), first production run, benchmarking
- Apply knowledge and usage of basic quality tools (FMEA, Six Sigma) What We're Looking For
- Technical degree (minimum Bachelor) in Engineering or related field
- Experience with Bill of Materials data, materials and specifications management
- Proficiency in CAD, FEA, prototype production, product testing and related tools
- Familiarity with PLC D1 process and cross-functional coordination across regions
- Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Knowledge of FMEA and Six Sigma methodology
