Job Overview
Clarity Innovations, a leader in national security solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Product Owner to join its remote team.
In this critical role, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering innovative products for the U.S. Space Force and other key stakeholders. You will bridge the gap between complex stakeholder needs and development teams, ensuring the creation of high-impact solutions that enhance national security capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include defining the product vision, developing outcome-driven roadmaps, and meticulously managing the product backlog. You will excel at communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior executives, and making timely, informed decisions to drive product success.
This position demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of Agile and Lean Product Management principles, coupled with a passion for user-centered design and iterative development.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the long-term product vision and goals, aligning them with the overall business strategy.
- Communicate the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog effectively to various audiences, including senior executives.
- Make timely and informed decisions on product features, scope, and priorities based on stakeholder input, market analysis, and team feedback.
- Identify pain points and opportunities for the team and proactively implement resolutions.
- Lead and influence a balanced cross-functional team in daily activities to execute against the product vision.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the highest business value and aligns with the product vision.
- Document and package detailed operational requirements and user experiences.
- Write clear and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Champion user-centered design philosophy internally and externally.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring needs and expectations are met.
- Communicate sophisticated ideas, anticipate objections, and persuade others to adopt different viewpoints.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).

At least 10 years of relevant work experience as a Product Owner.

Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Strong understanding of Lean Product Management principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with leading products from idea to market.

Experience with user-centered design, concept and usability testing, and other research methods.

Experience in stakeholder management, communication, and presentation.

Experience working in a balanced team to build, measure, and learn.

Experience working in a rapid and iterative development environment.

Experience balancing customer and user feedback to create desirable solutions.

Knowledge of US Space Force digital services trends and emerging technologies (Preferred).

Experience providing input on product decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops (Preferred).

Experience in the design and/or development of full-service applications (Preferred).
