The Role and Team
-
Medallia is seeking a strategic, high-ownership Senior Product Marketing Manager to help lead our go-to-market efforts. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing — shaping how we bring powerful AI-powered experience capabilities to market and communicate their value to customers, prospects, and partners. You'll be the person who takes a wide-open problem, builds the plan, and drives it to successful completion — with minimal direction needed.
-
Along with peers on the product marketing team, you'll be responsible for messaging, launches, sales enablement, and content across the platform, with the specific focus areas evolving as the business does. This role is built for someone who's just as comfortable zooming out to see how the pieces fit together as they are getting into the details when it counts.
-
We're looking for a strong storyteller, a strategic thinker, and a self-starter who treats the work like it's their own business — someone who works cross-functionally with senior sales and product leaders, aligns to the larger narrative of the company, and knows how to turn broad direction into the right materials for their focus areas, from concept to completion. Deep expertise in any one product area isn't required — curiosity, critical thinking, and strategic execution are a must.
Responsibilities
-
Develop positioning, messaging, and content — grounded in real market, customer, and competitive research — that articulates the value proposition for Medallia capabilities and clearly differentiates us in the market.
-
Support cross-functional initiatives for semi-annual releases, collaborating closely with PMM peers, product, sales, marketing, and customer success.
-
Educate and enable Medallia’s sales and services teams, along with strategic partners, to be able to confidently communicate the value and competitive differentiation of Medallia.
-
Be a Medallia champion. Educate and enable Medallia customers and users on the value of our platform.
-
Understand the impact your programs have on market perception, business growth, and product adoption — and adjust based on what you learn.
-
Be an excellent communicator who can translate complex or technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences, thread messaging across buying centers and personas, and use that to engage and influence internal leaders/teams across functions as well as external stakeholders.
-
Take the first pass on ambiguous, open-ended projects and drive them to completion.
-
Use AI to move faster in your day-to-day and know when your own judgment and thinking need to lead — with human review on every asset and project to make sure it's actually hitting the goal.
-
Candidates based in the Tysons vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.

7+ years, ideally 10 years, of product marketing experience for a SaaS product or platform
-
Demonstrated storytelling experience taking complex products to tell a compelling and succinct story
-
Demonstrated experience supporting a fast-paced and sales-oriented environment
-
Experience building cross-functional alignment across product, sales, marketing, and services teams
-
Demonstrated experience delivering presentations to executives, clients, and conference audiences
-
Demonstrated project management experience including juggling multiple initiatives at once and seeing them through
-
Preferred Qualifications
-
Track record of marketing technical innovations to users and buyers and creating narratives to position and sell products in compelling ways
-
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
-
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt for technical and non-technical audiences and across various buying centers and personas
-
Understanding of go-to-market strategies and methodologies
-
Ability to prioritize and differentiate what matters from the noise, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality
-
Ability to identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and communicate with stakeholders
-
Comfortable operating autonomously and driving multiple projects forward with minimal manager oversight
-
Comfortable moving fluidly between big-picture strategy and technical detail, depending on what the moment calls for
-
