Job title: Product Marketing Director, Lakewatch
About the Role Databricks is seeking a senior product marketer to own the Lakewatch product marketing strategy and lead its growth. You will define the Lakewatch narrative, collaborate with product and engineering to shape the roadmap and launches, and partner with sales, partner marketing, and the broader marketing organization to drive awareness, adoption, and expansion for this first-of-its-kind motion at Databricks. This role sits within the product marketing organization and works cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and alliances.
What You'll Do
- Define the Lakewatch narrative and GTM strategy to drive new logo acquisition and expansion, with targets for sourced and influenced pipeline, ARR, and product adoption in the first 12-24 months.
- Partner with product and engineering to shape roadmap and launches; translate roadmap investments into measurable business results.
- Collaborate with sales, partner marketing, and the broader marketing organization to drive awareness, adoption, and expansion.
- Deliver high-impact product launches and enablement; improve win rates, deal sizes, and attach rates for security use cases.
- Improve sales and overlay effectiveness by building and scaling sales plays, messaging, and enablement to shorten sales cycles across core regions and segments.
- Grow partner-sourced and partner-influenced Lakewatch pipeline through joint narratives, solutions, and programs with cloud and technology partners.
- Continuously optimize GTM performance with metrics, instrumentation, and feedback to improve conversion across awareness, evaluation, adoption, and expansion.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive product marketing experience in enterprise cybersecurity software with exposure to SecOps, SIEM, or security analytics and a track record of driving pipeline and revenue.
- Experience building and scaling GTM for new or early-stage products, including goal setting, segment/persona strategies, and campaigns that improved pipeline, ARR, or adoption.
- Strong storytelling and positioning for security practitioners and business stakeholders; improved engagement, win rate, deal size, or attach.
- Demonstrated collaboration with product and engineering to inform roadmap decisions with market and customer input that increased usage, value, or retention.
- Experience enabling global sales and partner organizations; plays, content, and enablement that improved win rates, cycle times, or attach rates.
- Experience partnering with cloud/technology partners to build joint narratives and programs that generated partner-sourced or partner-influenced pipeline.
- Strong communication and executive presence; comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives and representing the product to customers, partners, analysts, and at industry events.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; ability to define new motions and processes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay ranges: Zone 1 USD 237,000–325,800; Zone 2 USD 213,300–293,250; Zone 3 USD 201,400–277,000; Zone 4 USD 189,600–260,700.
- Base plus potential annual performance bonus, equity, and listed benefits.
