About the Role The Product Manager defines the product line strategy, develops the roadmap and product requirements for the assigned product line(s), and acts as the voice of the customer to drive growth and lifecycle management. In a matrix organization, you will bridge business strategy, user experience, and technology, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality and marketing to lead product development from ideation through launch using New Product Development tools and the stage-gate process. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute long-term product lifecycle plans in a manufacturing environment.
- Manage assigned projects with cross-functional teams, coordinating internal and external resources.
- Visit end users and specifiers to collect market intelligence, identify user problems, and adjust product priorities as needed.
- Be accountable for growth and profitability of the product line(s), using metrics like orders, sales and profitability to guide decisions.
- Ensure adherence to base cost targets while investing in technology and marketing to achieve product line goals.
- Lead New Product Development launches, coordinating resources, budgets, marketing campaigns, and sales plans.
- Participate in major reviews (Business Plans, Strategy Plans, Annual Operating Plans) with financial projections.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and manage channel partner relationships.
- Monitor market needs, trends and competitive intelligence; design and maintain competitive intelligence and market penetration data.
- Work with Sourcing to build secure, efficient supply chains for system delivery.
- Build mid-term strategy in terms of priorities, partnerships and business development.
- Create or support training materials and lead training sessions for customers and Watts sales personnel; travel required. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or similar.
- 5+ years of related Product Management experience in target markets.
- Proven success in developing and implementing strategic and financial business plans.
- Proven leadership ability to lead virtual teams and work across a matrix organization.
- Sales channel and/or management experience.
- Relevant engineering experience.
- Strong influencing skills; excellent presentation and communication abilities; outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, creative self-starter with a willingness to travel at least 25%.
- Knowledge of analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding and experience in Stage Gate process preferred. Nice to Have
