About the Role The Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and success of key solutions within Tyler's Enterprise Corrections Suite. This role partners with customers, business stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to identify opportunities, validate needs, and deliver solutions that create measurable value for correctional agencies.
What You'll Do
- Own product vision, strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for designated product and market areas
- Align priorities with leadership and stakeholders; publish roadmaps and communicate direction
- Conduct customer visits, workflow observation, discovery sessions, and market research
- Build relationships with correctional agencies, partners, and key industry stakeholders
- Gather customer, market, operational, and competitive insights to prioritize investments
- Partner with Product Owners, UX, Engineering, and business teams to execute initiatives
- Lead release planning and drive adoption of new functionality
- Define and monitor product performance metrics, adoption, and business outcomes
- Explore new technologies, integrations, partnerships, and market expansion
- Support sales through demonstrations, engagements, and RFP responses
- Communicate product status, major issues, risks, and market changes to leadership
- Contribute to team culture with integrity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
- Occasional travel required (20-40% within the US)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field; equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Product Management in a software environment
- Experience owning strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, and customer-facing initiatives
- Strong understanding of Agile product development
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functional groups
- Experience with corrections, public safety, justice, government technology, inmate communications, tablets, or related software preferred
- Experience with inmate tablets, inmate communications, video visitation, commissary services, trust accounting, or electronic payments preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with corrections and justice technology solutions; familiarity with inmate tablets and related systems is preferred
