Product Manager, Product Platform
This is a rare 0-to-1 opportunity to build a brand-new, high-visibility capability that touches every Okta customer: backup and recovery to strengthen the resilience of our system. You’ll be responsible for building a modern, self-service experience that allows IT Admins to recover back their accidentally or maliciously deleted identity objects. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Field, Pricing & Packaging, and Product leadership to shape a capability with direct, measurable impact on customer retention and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the long-term product vision and strategy for Okta's resilience strategy, ensuring the backup and recovery roadmap scales with the breadth of Okta's customer base and product portfolio.
- Design a self-service recovery center to ensure customers can seamlessly and securely track their deletions and changes and revert back across the entire Okta ecosystem.
- Collaborate with India-based engineering and development scrum teams to deliver high-performance, scalable backup and recovery solution
- Distill complex requirements from a diverse stakeholder group - including Field (AE/CSM), Pricing & Packaging, Support, Design, and Product teams - into precise technical specifications.
- Analyze how large-scale enterprise customer’s resilience needs to identify friction points and drive improvements in customer trust and platform experience.
- Validate assumptions at low cost by building compelling hypotheses and designing rigorous experiments before committing to major infrastructure investments.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Product Management experience specifically within enterprise-scale SaaS platforms or core software infrastructure.
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical experience that enables you to rationalize and influence complex architectural decisions.
- Proven ability to produce solid, actionable plans from incomplete, conflicting, or highly ambiguous inputs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of successfully collaborating across global functions and time zones.
- Demonstrated business results from customer-facing platform capabilities shipped at scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Backup or recovery tools
- Deep familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols and security standards.
- Experience partnering with Sales/CSM organizations on customer-facing solution positioning
- Advanced degree in a technical or business field (e.g., MS in a technical discipline or an MBA).
Location & Working Model
While this role offers location flexibility within India, it is a global-facing position. To bridge the gap between India-based and US-based teams, the candidate must be available for synchronous meetings between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Pacific Time, at least three days a week.
