About this role

Job title: Product Manager, Private Credit Data Products

About the Role Product Manager for Private Credit data products, based in Fitch Solutions' New York office. Own planning, development, and delivery of data products for Private Credit markets; translate customer needs into a prioritized roadmap, requirements, and execution plan; collaborate with Strategy, Engineering, Data, Design, Sales, and Customer teams to ship high-quality datasets and workflows; drive ongoing iteration based on usage data and feedback.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product direction for Private Credit data products and define OKRs/KPIs; maintain a transparent release plan.
  • Drive prioritization with rationale and trade-offs; translate needs into PRDs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; lead agile delivery, backlog management, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct continuous customer and domain discovery (interviews, workflow walkthroughs) and validate needs with Sales and Customer Success.
  • Lead end-to-end data product lifecycle from concept to launch and continuous improvement; organize requirements into initiatives and epics; ensure data quality, governance, usability, and scalability.
  • Serve as bridge between business and technical teams; manage capacity, dependencies, and delivery risk; partner with Engineering and Data leadership.
  • Go-to-market activities: product launches, sales enablement, and positioning; track adoption, retention, revenue impact, data quality, and client satisfaction to guide iterations.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years in product management, ideally in financial services, financial information services, or FinTech.
  • Deep expertise in Private Credit markets—market structure, workflows, client segments, and commercial dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of private credit data models: instrument structures, spreads, covenants, facility terms, borrower characteristics.
  • Track record delivering initiatives from discovery through delivery across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Agile environments with iterative delivery.
  • Comfort working with technical teams; solid software development understanding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to align and influence in a matrix environment.
  • Awareness of where AI/ML creates value in a data product context.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or managing commercial data products in credit, loans, or private markets.
  • Hands-on AI/ML applications: intelligent search, automated enrichment, anomaly detection, or NLP for credit data.
  • Experience spanning data products and platform/website capabilities.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hybrid work environment: 3 days a week in office, depending on business line and location.
  • Culture of Learning & Mobility: dedicated trainings, leadership development, mentorship.
  • Retirement planning and tuition reimbursement.
  • Comprehensive healthcare offerings for physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
  • Family-friendly policies including generous parental leave.
  • Inclusive, collaborative environment with Employee Resource Groups.
  • Paid volunteer days and matched donations; opportunities to volunteer.
  • Fitch AI-enabled environment to support smarter decision-making and streamlined workflows.
