Product Manager Digi and I&C

We make tomorrow different today!

To ensure business continuity within Service Product Management for TI STG (Transformation of Industry -Steam Turbine & Generator), this role addresses the critical need for lifecycle management of digital, automation, and control system service solutions. As Product Manager for Digital and Instrumentation & Control (I&C), you will shape and advance the portfolio by connecting customer and market needs with technical possibilities and converting ideas into commercially viable, market-ready products and solutions.

With a global responsibility you will define product strategy and roadmaps, drive R&D and innovation, manage priorities and budgets, and guide offerings throughout the full lifecycle. From identified need and structured project definition through development, launch, commercialization, continuous improvement, and phase-out. Working across a global, cross-functional network, you will collaborate with engineering, R&D, sales, regions, and other stakeholders to develop compelling value propositions and suitable business models.

The role requires technical understanding of industrial control systems such as PCS 7, T3000, or Turloop, together with the ability to connect technical possibilities to real business and engineering problems. It’s preferable to have practical knowledge of technologies such as Python for data analysis and machine learning and C# for enterprise systems and services, enabling us to assess what can realistically be developed and how different technologies can be applied.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define and execute the long-term product strategy and roadmap for Digital and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) service solutions for industrial steam turbines.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle - from customer or market need and initial idea through a clearly structured project, development, launch, commercialization, continuous improvement, and phase-out.
  • Translate customer and market needs into digitalization, automation, and control-system products and solutions that improve reliability, operational efficiency, and customer value.
  • Drive R&D and innovation initiatives, manage priorities and budgets, and lead cross-functional teams toward execution based on clearly defined needs and business objectives.
  • Transform technical solutions into market-ready service products, including evaluation of value propositions, business models, pricing approaches, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify portfolio gaps, emerging trends, and new business opportunities for digital and control-system services.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, project management, marketing, sales, and regional teams to align technical development with strategic, commercial, and customer requirements.
  • Build and use a strong global network to improve transparency, information flow, collaboration, and successful product delivery.
  • Ensure that Digi and I&C service products meet applicable safety, cybersecurity, quality, and industry requirements, while using field performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering, control systems, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or an equivalent technical field.
  • Several years of relevant experience in product management, technical sales, engineering, or business development within power generation, industrial automation, or a comparable technical environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems such as PCS 7, T3000 or Turloop, combined with an understanding of programming concepts and software integration; experience with relevant programming languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to understand customer and market needs and determine how digitalization, automation, and control systems can be converted into valuable products and solutions.
  • A structured approach to developing an idea into a clear project and driving it through development and commercialization to a fully established product or concept.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive topics proactively in a global arena.
  • Strong networking and stakeholder-management skills, with cross-functional collaboration viewed as a natural part of achieving results.
  • Ability to lead projects and teams effectively, communicate technical matters with commercial clarity, and engage confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and a willingness to travel when required for customer interaction, collaboration, and industry events.
