About this role
About the Role
Product Manager is responsible for working with Selector customers across large enterprises and service providers to create an AIOps solution that detects, diagnoses (RCA), and remediates operational issues across complex network, infrastructure and cloud deployments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on product experience from modern observability or monitoring platforms, with deep exposure to network, infrastructure and cloud monitoring domains. Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
What You'll Do
- Engage directly with engineering, NOC, SREs, and IT operations teams at key enterprise customers to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and success metrics; drive the product roadmap to address these operational challenges; ensure the Selector solution becomes part of day-to-day operational procedures.
- Define differentiated product capabilities and solutions to eliminate high-impact operational problems in cloud, infrastructure and network environments across the customer base. Prioritize competing enhancement requirements and drive balance between customer needs, Selector growth goals, and broader AI/ML trends to stay at the cutting edge of AI/ML adoption. Analyze competitive products to identify gaps and differentiation opportunities.
- Partner with sales and customer success to support solution positioning, demos, and proof-of-value engagements.
- Execution & Delivery: Write clear, precise product requirements (PRDs) focused on ingesting specific customer data and delivering operational outcomes based on available data. Define outcomes and success metrics for AIOps features (e.g., alert reduction, noise reduction, MTTR improvement, alert fidelity, automation effectiveness). Collaborate with engineering, data science, solutions and CSM teams to deliver features that meet or exceed expectations. Ensure AI-driven features are explainable, trustworthy, and aligned with how operators make decisions under pressure.
- Go-To-Market & Enablement: Partner with marketing on messaging, positioning, and launch of new features. Enable internal teams with product documentation, training material, competitive narratives, and customer-facing artifacts. Support strategic accounts and lighthouse customers where product depth and credibility matter.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of product management experience in infrastructure monitoring, observability, APM, or IT operations software.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and network domains, including routing protocols/switching (CCIE/JNCIE exposure).
- Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization and containers (VMs, Kubernetes).
- Network telemetry (SNMP, flow data, metrics, logs, traces) and hybrid/distributed system architectures.
- Proven ability to work with engineering on complex, data-intensive products.
- Experience with AIOps concepts such as event correlation, topology modeling, RCA, or predictive analytics.
- Exposure to network operations, NOC workflows, SRE practices, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with APIs, telemetry pipelines, and large-scale data platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $180,000 - $220,000 per year.
- Selector offers a discretionary PTO policy, health insurance, 401k, the opportunity for a bonus, and more.
