About the Role As a Product Line Specialist at Corning, you will support product lifecycle management, market positioning, and profitability initiatives while partnering with commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and technology teams. What You'll Do
- Work with the Product Line Manager (PLM) and Product Team members to execute product life-cycle management strategy
- Work with the PLM to contribute to the development of both long- and short-term business strategies to maximize profitability and achieve growth
- Champion new product development and timely release through collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Market Development, Technology and Manufacturing Operations
- Collaborate with global counterparts to drive product strategies
- Understand the competitive environment and devise plans to differentiate and counteract
- Interpret market demand and provide forecast input for capacity planning
- Provide technical support to develop product literature and promotional brochures
- Support key day-to-day activities for various markets
- Formulate value propositions with commercial team to position against the competition
- Influence supply-chain and procurement to deliver best cost and service
- Provide product training and support to the Customer Representative (CSR) organization
- Assist in resolving product, quality, and service issues while balancing customer needs
- Identify opportunities to reduce complexity and costs
- Collect and distribute specialized reports and key product line metrics for analysis
- Occasional international travel What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (required)
- 2–5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, commercial, or related business functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market, operational, and financial data
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English, both written and verbal
