Your Job
As Product Line Manager for Burn-In Test Sockets and H-Pin, you will help shape the strategy, growth, profitability, and lifecycle of products used in semiconductor reliability testing. You will connect customer and market needs with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, turning knowledge into product decisions and commercial results.
This role is designed for a contribution-motivated professional who is curious, collaborative, and eager to learn. An engineering background can be valuable, but we are open to different disciplines and career paths. Deep burn-in product expertise is not required on day one. What matters most is your ability to build knowledge, use sound judgment, help others, and create value for customers and the business.
Our Team
The STBU Product Team works as one group across product line management and pricing. Team members collaborate closely, share knowledge, and step in to help one another. We view internal and external partners as customers and value integrity, humility, initiative, and a willingness to learn. You will initially focus on the Burn-In Test Socket and H-Pin portfolio, where success depends on commercial ownership, cross-functional partnership, and growing technical understanding over time.
What You Will Do
- Product strategy and roadmap: Develop and execute the product-line strategy, annual plan, and roadmap using customer, market, technology, and financial insights.
- Customer and market insight: Learn how customers use burn-in sockets and H-Pin technology, identify unmet needs, monitor competitors, and translate findings into priorities.
- Commercial ownership: Support growth and profitability through pricing, margin review, forecasting, product positioning, and informed trade-off decisions.
- New product development: Partner with Engineering and customers to define requirements, assess opportunities, build business cases, establish target price and cost, and support product launches.
- Lifecycle management: Guide products from concept and launch through growth, maturity, and end of life, with thoughtful replacement planning.
- Go-to-market execution: Create clear value propositions, support sales tools and technical content, train commercial teams, and participate in customer meetings and industry events.
- Cross-functional leadership: Lead through influence across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Quality, FAEs, and Customer Service.
- Pricing and systems: Help maintain accurate pricing, quoting, product, and customer information in tools such as Salesforce, ERP, and Excel.
- Continuous improvement: Identify ways to simplify work, improve customer experience, reduce cost, and strengthen product-team effectiveness.
Who You Are
- You put integrity, compliance, and customer value at the center of decisions.
- You are collaborative and willing to help, while also respectfully challenging ideas when better knowledge is available.
- You are curious and comfortable learning technical products, applications, and markets.
- You take ownership, manage priorities, and follow through on commitments.
- You can organize information, analyze data, and communicate a recommendation clearly.
- You are comfortable working with people across functions, levels, cultures, and geographic locations.
- You bring drive and passion to the work and are motivated by contribution, not just a defined task list.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Business, Marketing, or another related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience gained through employment, internships, co-op assignments, academic projects, research, technical sales, applications engineering, product management, pricing, marketing, or a related customer-facing role.
- Ability to interpret technical and commercial information and explain it clearly to different audiences.
- Experience using data to evaluate options, solve problems, or make recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn CRM, ERP, and product-management systems.
- Ability to travel up to 35% domestically and internationally.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Degree or experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, test, reliability, connectors, interconnects, electronics, or another technical manufacturing environment.
- Experience with product management, product marketing, applications engineering, technical sales, pricing, financial analysis, or P&L drivers.
- Familiarity with burn-in or HTOL, test sockets, contact technologies, IC packaging, thermal management, or high-power devices.
- Experience working with Salesforce, an ERP platform such as Glovia, Power BI, project-management tools, or 3D CAD viewers.
- Demonstrated leadership through a student organization, project team, internship, co-op, volunteer role, or cross-functional business assignment.
How Success Will Be Measured
- Building a practical product-line plan connected to customer needs and business growth priorities.
- Developing a clear understanding of the burn-in and H-Pin portfolio, customer applications, competitive alternatives, and value proposition.
- Improving pricing discipline, margin visibility, product information, and commercial-team support.
- Creating alignment across Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service.
- Advancing product and technology roadmap priorities with documented customer and market knowledge.
- Demonstrating sound judgment, continuous learning, and increasing decision responsibility.
Work Environment
Hybrid or remote work arrangement, based on business needs and the final work location.
Up to 35% domestic and international travel.
Occasional handling of product samples or equipment; appropriate lifting support is provided where applicable.
Fluent written and verbal English; additional language skills relevant to global markets are helpful.
Responsibilities may evolve as business needs and individual comparative advantages develop.
