Product Lead (Vendor Applications) - South Bank, QLD

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) our purpose is to open up the world for those who want to see. Every day, we give people all around the world the opportunity to experience something amazing – travel!

Join a team where product strategy, technology and business impact come together. We're seeking an experienced Product Lead (Vendor Applications) to drive the vision, roadmap and value delivery of critical vendor-delivered platforms across the business. In this highly influential role, you'll work closely with vendors, Engineering, Business Analysts and key stakeholders to shape investment decisions, deliver innovative solutions and ensure our products create meaningful outcomes for customers and the organisation.

As the product champion, you'll live and breathe your portfolio, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You'll lead the prioritisation and execution of initiatives, collaborate with designers and engineers to bring ideas to life, and build strong partnerships that maximise product value and performance. Combining product leadership, commercial acumen and technical expertise, you'll drive continuous improvement, hold vendor partners accountable for delivery outcomes, and help shape products that align with our long-term business vision and strategy.

Day in the life:

  • Own the day-to-day product management and strategic direction of assigned vendor-delivered applications
  • Contribute product evidence, requirements and recommendations that inform build, buy and investment decisions
  • Lead relationships with vendor partners, including roadmap planning, governance forums, release planning and escalation management
  • Build evidence-based business cases using volume, revenue impact, incident trends and operational insights to influence roadmap priorities
  • Monitor and communicate vendor delivery performance, progress and risks to stakeholders and leadership
  • Oversee cost control activities for assigned applications, including vendor invoice review where applicable
  • Define and track outcome measures with data partners to ensure value is delivered against business objectives
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to challenge vendor solution designs and align non-functional requirements
  • Partner with support and reliability teams to ensure incidents, problems and support trends inform product priorities and backlog management
  • Identify opportunities to improve application accessibility, integration and automation through vendors, APIs and AI-enabled capabilities

Lead, coach and develop Business Analysts, supporting growth in discovery, requirements gathering and stakeholder management

You will thrive, if you have:

  • Ideally 3+ years' experience managing digital agile product development and delivery
  • Experience working with vendor-delivered platforms and influencing roadmaps without direct control of code delivery
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with vendors, Engineering teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of agile product management practices and delivery frameworks
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing costs, value delivery and vendor relationships
  • Working knowledge of APIs, integrations and interconnected technology ecosystems
  • Practical experience using AI tools within product management environments, paired with sound judgement of quality and risk
