About the Role We are seeking a Product Engineer to support the development, configuration, and service of small top-loading sintering furnaces. This role focuses on applying the furnace’s capabilities—4" diameter x 8" high standard hot zone, multiple hot-zone materials (tungsten, tantalum, molybdenum) up to 2500°C, HMI control with data acquisition and automated runs—to meet customers’ processing requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Provide configuration, testing, and ongoing support for automated furnace runs using the HMI control package
  • Manage data acquisition, alarms, and unlimited recipe profiles for temperature control
  • Work with high-temperature hot zones (tungsten, tantalum, molybdenum) to meet specified temperature targets
  • Understand and implement TC and/or pyrometer temperature control, and thermocouple instrumentation
  • Evaluate and specify vacuum pumping options (turbo or diffusion) and related systems
  • Assist with drawings, options, & applications documentation and customer-facing materials

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with high-temperature furnaces and vacuum pumping systems
  • Knowledge of HMI control systems, data acquisition, alarms, and recipe-based temperature control
  • Familiarity with thermocouples, TC and/or pyrometer temperature measurement
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong focus on temperature uniformity and system longevity
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills and customer-facing communication

Nice to Have

  • Experience with tungsten, tantalum, and molybdenum hot zones
