Job title: Product Engineer - Optical Communications
About the Role Development of new and existing products that meets or exceed customer expectations. Support Production or Product manager on all projects in development, process optimization, product testing, Engineering changes, technical documents etc.
What You'll Do
- Develop new and existing products that meet customer expectations and ensure competitive production by managing standard time and yield
- Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal staff
- Manage process document deviations based on project progress (indirect materials changed, new materials input, technics parameter changed)
- Support R&D Engineers, PLM and Product Manager to review new designs and assess producibility on relevant lines, providing assistance as needed
- Perform process design to meet specifications to deliver services for all customers
- Evaluate technology feasibility for cost-down opportunities and quality improvements
- Develop and review related product WOI and WR; follow up plant scrap and IPQC issues, analyze causes, and implement effective measures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in optical communication products
- Process experience in optical communication products, with connectors preferred
- Proficiency in optical communications product processes
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information and provide professional solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes; Six Sigma and Lean is preferred

- Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing knowledge
