About the Role As a Product Engineer at Factorial, you'll help us build and scale AI-powered Business Management Software, not as an add-on but as a core capability. This role focuses on real engineering work in AI-native product development with ownership from problem understanding to production impact.
What You'll Do
- Ship features end to end: understand the problem, write code, and validate in production.
- Collaborate with engineers on AI-integrated systems: LLM-powered workflows, agentic features, and tools for Finance teams.
- Learn to evaluate AI features in production; emphasize reliability and user impact over model complexity.
- Take ownership of your work, asking why and delivering tangible outcomes, while moving fast in a growing product area.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 4 years of software engineering experience and comfort across the stack.
- Curiosity about AI with some exploration in side projects, coursework, or on the job.
- Desire to understand how AI systems actually work, not just how to use them.
- Focus on outcomes and willingness to iterate on what you build.
- Proficiency or willingness to get comfortable with Ruby on Rails and React.
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset, able to explain what you’re building and why.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and React in production.
- Exposure to AI features, LLMs, or AI-native product development.
