Your role in the team

We are seeking an Endpoint Security Engineer to join our team to help secure and manage enterprise endpoint protection technologies across a global environment. This role will serve as a key technical resource responsible for administering and enhancing endpoint security platforms including CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Beyondtrust Privileged Access Management (PAM).

The Endpoint Security Engineer is responsible for the design, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise endpoint security platforms. This role partners closely with Cyber Operations, Infrastructure, Desktop Engineering, and Identity teams to protect endpoints, improve detection capabilities, automate security processes, and strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational security experience with modern engineering and automation skills. They have hands-on experience with EDR, firewall management, device control, API management, and endpoint security operations, along with a solid understanding of incident response and threat detection. Comfortable administering CrowdStrike and Microsoft security platforms, they leverage scripting, API integrations, GitHub-based workflows, and emerging AI-driven security technologies to automate processes, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen security outcomes. Curious, proactive, and innovative, they continuously seek opportunities to enhance the organisation's cyber security capabilities through automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize endpoint security controls.
  • Evaluate new endpoint security technologies.
  • Develop security baselines and endpoint hardening standards.
  • Provide technical guidance for endpoint-related security projects.
  • Understand system security vulnerabilities and associated threats, and assess the overall security risks to the system
  • Provide assistance to engineers to implement new security tools to feed our DevOps/SecOps processes, ensuring the solvency of computing resources
  • Participate as an active member of Design & Build IT projects, steering configurations and services towards industry-leading security practices within domain expertise
  • Work alongside Senior Security Engineers/Architects, and assist in Proof of Concepts and implementation of the security solution
  • Assist with security and compliance-based projects involving cloud, operating systems, applications, and database and security issues and requirements
  • Understand DevOps ideologies with the ability to drive and communicate change supporting DevOps/SecOps methodology within the organization
  • Understand software installations, systems monitoring and troubleshooting, account management, and overall efforts to minimize system

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands on professional experience in cybersecurity, endpoint security, or security engineering.
  • Hands-on experience administering Anti Virus/Endpoint Detection Response solutions.
  • Experience investigating security events and supporting incident response activities
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience working with APIs and automation workflows.

Desirable Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with privileged access management platforms.
  • Familiarity with GitHub and version control best practices.
  • Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms.
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted security operations or security copilots.
