About Loamy
Loamy is building the AI powered operational platform for the fresh food supply chain. We help growers, shippers, distributors, and processors manage food safety, supplier workflows, inspections, and compliance - without the complexity, per-user pricing, or rigid workflows of legacy systems.
Mobile-friendly, fast to deploy, and built to integrate with existing systems, Loamy gives food and produce companies a simpler way to operate and scale. Founded to bring intuitive, modern software to an industry long overdue for digital transformation, Loamy partners closely with customers to improve collaboration, strengthen compliance, and build safer, more resilient food systems.
About the Role
You will own the end-to-end product design experience at Loamy, from early discovery and user research to interaction design, prototyping, and final polish. You will partner closely with engineers, leadership, and customers to turn complex, real-world supply chain workflows into intuitive, elegant digital solutions. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the visual and functional standard of our platform as we scale across the product and also marketing.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design projects end-to-end, creating wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for desktop and mobile web interfaces.
- Conduct user research, customer interviews, and usability testing to deeply understand the needs of growers, shippers, and distributors.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system to ensure UI consistency and speed up product development.
- Partner with Product Management to define product requirements, translate business objectives into UX solutions, and prioritize user-facing features.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering throughout the implementation process to ensure design fidelity and quality in production builds.
- Synthesize complex data structures, workflows, and compliance processes into simple, easy-to-use user interfaces.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role designing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise web and mobile applications
- A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design, user research, wireframing, high-fidelity UI design, and design system contributions
- Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma, prototyping methods, and working with AI tools to create experiences
- Strong understanding of mobile-first design, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders
- Nice to have: experience in supply chain, logistics, food, or agriculture software
Who You Are
- You have a passion for user empathy and turning non-technical user feedback into intuitive product solutions
- You thrive in early-stage, fast-moving environments and enjoy shaping product strategy alongside execution
- You communicate clearly and confidently, in writing, on video calls, and in a review with business owners
- You are a team player and have a passion for collaboration
- You are motivated by visible impact: creating seamless tools that simplify daily operations for real-world workers
Benefits
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a high-growth company
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (US/Canada)
- 401(k) savings plan (US)
- Unlimited PTO
