About this role
Section: Overview We are hiring the first Product Design Team to drive the direction of design, improve the human experience of using software, and establish a design-centric approach to product development.
Section: Responsibilities
- Lead product UX and UI design across the full software design process.
- Conduct user research and interviews to understand user needs.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering from prototyping through product release.
- Partner with Product, Strategy, and Partnerships teams on product direction.
- Define efficient design processes using modern technology and tools.
- Help identify, recruit, and onboard additional design talent as the company grows.
Section: Requirements
- 5 years of experience in software product design, UI, and UX.
- Experience conducting user interviews.
- Experience designing enterprise-grade software for desktop and mobile environments.
- Proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe XD, Hotjar, GitHub, and Notion.
- Experience building design teams and processes.
- Experience designing geospatial applications is an advantage.
- Understanding of interfaces for controlling robotic systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript is an advantage.
- Ability to create or modify designs in frontend frameworks such as React is an advantage.
