About the Role Instacart is seeking a Product Counsel to join its hybrid remote team. This role partners with product, privacy, compliance, and business teams to ensure legal risk is managed as Instacart builds new features and services. What You'll Do
- Provide legal guidance on product development, launches, and user features across applicable jurisdictions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate terms, policies, and notices related to product initiatives.
- Advise on privacy, data security, vendor agreements, and competition/regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one US state.
- 5+ years of product or tech counsel experience, preferably in-house.
- Strong knowledge of privacy laws, consumer protection, and data security.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills. Nice to Have
- Experience in e-commerce/marketplaces/grocery tech or platform businesses.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams; ability to operate in fast-paced environments.
- In-house experience at a technology company.
