Job title: Product Compliance & Risk Lead

About the Role Wise APAC Product Squad is seeking a Product Compliance & Risk Lead to help take our product offering in Asia to the next level by identifying and managing regulatory compliance risk across existing and new products. You will lead a team across multiple markets in Asia, driving launches, risk assessments, and ongoing compliance across product lifecycles.

What You'll Do

• Launch New Products and Features: Identify applicable regulations and risks to ensure compliant launches.
• Collaborate with Product Teams throughout product lifecycle: design, user testing, launch, post-launch monitoring.
• Empower Product Teams to take a risk-based approach and build compliant, customer-oriented solutions.
• Analyze regulations to improve product proposition and competitiveness; challenge interpretations and market practice.
• Manage and Mitigate Regulatory Risks: conduct pre-launch and ongoing risk assessments; advise Product Managers on gaps and risks.
• Collaborate with Compliance Oversight to keep teams updated on new regulations and guidance from Regulators and industry groups.
• Maintain enterprise-wide view of risk; escalate breaches; coordinate with specialist teams (e.g., Financial Crime, Treasury, Finance).
• Track relevant risks with mitigation plans, action owners and timelines.
• Third Party Relationships: Represent Wise in external meetings with partners, regulators, auditors; articulate Wise’s product and control framework.
• Team leadership: Drive quarterly plans; align global and regional product plans; contribute to long-term strategy and culture.

What We're Looking For

• Technical skills with strong learning agility; ability to rapidly master complex regulatory landscapes.
• 10-15 years of experience in a 2LoD or 1LoD Compliance or Regulatory role (non-operational) within Payments/Financial Services or as a consultant in this space; FinTech focus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-growing technology-driven environment; previous FinTech or consultancy experience is a plus.
• Autonomous, problem-solving mindset; ability to use regulations and data to drive business decisions.
• Effective communicator; able to navigate conflict and make tough but necessary decisions; strong stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated team leadership with an adaptable management style.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in FinTech or consultancy is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: 227,000 - 295,000 SGD base per annum + RSUs.
• Location: Singapore.
