About Vantage

Vantage powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Location: London (hybrid) Department: Product Data Architecture

Product Department

The Product team at Vantage defines and stewards our global product platform: the customer outcomes we aim to deliver, the standards and reference approaches that make delivery repeatable, and the closed-loop learning that turns each deployment into an upgrade for the next. We do this in partnership with Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Procurement, Sustainability, Sales, Site Selection, and Business Development, aligning priorities and trade-offs while preserving clear functional ownership for design execution, construction delivery, and site operations. Within Product, the Product Data Architecture team provides the information structures, standards, systems, and digital assets that enable product information to remain consistent, governed, and reusable throughout the product lifecycle.

Position Overview

Vantage is building a repeatable, product-led approach to delivering and operating data centers at global scale. We are hiring a Product BIM Specialist to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of product BIM standards, tools, and reusable digital content within the Product Data Architecture framework. This includes the families, type catalogs, shared parameters, templates, modules, assemblies, and configuration structures that let our regional design teams consume governed product information instead of remodeling it project by project.

This is a hands-on, experienced individual contributor role in the Product Data Architecture team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Data Architecture. You will apply deep BIM expertise to lead initiatives, develop and maintain product BIM standards and content, and support their adoption across product and regional teams. You will translate governed product information into implementation-ready digital design content, keeping BIM content aligned with product structures, bills of materials, and PLM records. You will apply established standards while helping to evolve the quality, consistency, and interoperability of Product BIM as the platform matures.

The role requires strong technical depth and ability to deliver complex BIM initiatives across multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to identify gaps, recommend scalable approaches, resolve complex technical issues, and work to evolve the wider Product BIM approach.

What You Will Lead

You will lead the development, maintenance, and quality management of the Product BIM content library, ensuring alignment with the product structures and product data it represents.

You will lead BIM initiatives and resolve technical questions within your area of expertise, working within the broader Product Data Architecture strategy and partnering with the Senior Manager on cross-system decisions. You will contribute BIM leadership and subject-matter expertise to regional teams, consultants, and delivery partners consuming Product BIM standards and assets.

What Success Looks Like

  • The Product BIM content library is complete, current, and trusted: regional design teams consume standard families, templates, and assemblies rather than remodeling them, and project-specific modeling effort measurably reduces.
  • BIM content, product structures, bills of materials, and PLM records stay aligned as the platform evolves, with discrepancies caught and resolved or flagged early.
  • Product models and content pass validation consistently — geometrically accurate, clash-free, interoperable, and compliant with taxonomy, metadata, and naming standards.
  • Repetitive content-development and validation tasks are increasingly automated, and the automation is documented and maintainable.
  • Regional BIM teams, design delivery partners, and consultants adopt the Product BIM and configuration standards because the guidance and enablement materials are clear and practical.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain the Product BIM content library — Revit families, type catalogs, shared parameters, templates, and reusable digital assets — in line with established content standards and governance.
  • Build and maintain reusable product modules, assemblies, families, and configuration structures that reduce project-specific modeling and engineering effort.
  • Develop and maintain standards for configurable product elements, including parameters, project units, references, metadata, relationships, and allowable variations, and help document them as they mature.
  • Coordinate and maintain alignment between BIM content, product structures, bills of materials, PLM records, and downstream systems, flagging discrepancies and proposing corrections.
  • Translate product taxonomy, metadata, and information standards into practical BIM and configuration structures.
  • Develop and execute BIM quality and validation workflows for Product BIM content ensuring quality, consistency, interoperability, and compliance with established standards.
  • Validate and coordinate 3D product models to ensure geometric accuracy, clash-free integration, and constructability.
  • Identify and build automation for repetitive content, validation, and data-exchange tasks using Dynamo, scripting, APIs, and related digital engineering tools.
  • Support interoperability and integration between BIM authoring environments, PLM, and the broader product data ecosystem.
  • Support evaluation of emerging BIM, configuration, automation, and digital engineering technologies, and participate in pilots and prototypes.
  • Prepare technical guidance and enablement materials supporting adoption of Product BIM and configuration standards.
  • Work with Product Engineering, regional BIM teams, design delivery partners, external consultants, suppliers, and technology teams to improve standardization and reuse.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in BIM, virtual design and construction, digital engineering, design automation, product configuration, or a related discipline with strong practical experience in BIM content development and management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and the development of BIM content.
  • Experience developing and maintaining advanced Revit families, templates, type catalogs, shared parameters, and content libraries.
  • Strong understanding of modular design, assemblies, product structures, and configurable design principles.
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines, equipment, and engineering workflows, with the ability to translate technical requirements into scalable BIM content.
  • Familiarity with BOM management, Product Data Management, configuration management, or PLM concepts.
  • Experience applying metadata, taxonomy, and information standards within engineering or BIM environments.
  • Strong understanding of BIM interoperability, model quality, and multidisciplinary engineering workflows.
  • Ability to translate product and engineering requirements into scalable digital structures and content.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, technology, and business teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) and APIs, the AEC Data Model, or related Autodesk technologies.
  • Experience with Dynamo or other engineering automation and scripting tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650, IFC, OpenBIM, and related digital information standards.
  • Experience working with PLM, PDM, ERP, or product configuration platforms.
  • Experience supporting modular, configurable, or industrialized product development.
  • Experience in the data center industry, or in equivalent large multi-disciplinary or multi-regional organizations.

Why Vantage

You will help build the digital content layer of a global data center product platform from the ground up, in a team that is connecting product definition, configuration, BIM, procurement, and operations into a single governed thread. The families, ass
